I was recently brought on by the team at Capture to edit a project for Boston Scientific about Catie Bendykowski a Mother, Registered Nurse and INGENIO™ Pacemaker Recipient. Her story is a remarkable journey of struggle and perseverance. For most, getting through High school can be a struggle enough on its own, but for Catie it was some of her darkest days. At 16, she was diagnosed with Inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST) and before she was 17 she had 3 different operations. By her mid twenties she had had a total of 31 operations. It was only until Catie and her doctor took a chance and met with Boston Scientific, who fitted her with a INGENIO™ Pacemaker. Today, Catie is a mother and registered nurse. She lives her life with a dedication and a purpose to something near and dear to her—helping heart patients understand their condition so they can get back to living the life they love.
